The team of the Institute for Development and International Relations is delighted to inform that the project proposal entitled ‘EU Competences and National Cultural Policies: Critical Dialogues/CULPOL’  submitted for financing to the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Project programme, has been approved. The project starts on 1st September 2016 and it will last two years (until August 2018). The primary aim of the project is to promote discussion and reflection on the impact of the EU agenda on the Croatian cultural policy. The project will be implemented through a number of working meetings, a two-day international conference on EU soft mechanisms, a round table on the impact of the Digital Single Market strategy on the reforms of Croatian cultural policy and through the publication of research papers in the special issue of the scientific journal Croatian International Relations Review (CIRR). The project will contribute to the establishment of closer cooperation and networking among cultural policy research community, cultural professionals, and policy-makers responsible for the implementation of the different EU instruments and agendas, as well as establishment of a platform for information and communication about the relevant cultural policy processes at the European Union level.
